Half way between Rome and Florence. 3 hours to Rome or Florence airports, or 1 hour to Perugia's Sant Egidio airport

Within half an hour from the towns of Spoleto, Foligno, Spello, Todi, or Bevagna. Within an hour from Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Lake Trasimeno, Gubbio, Norcia or Orvieto.

Parking: There are various parking possibilities nearby to the apartment. The main piazza is closest where there is parking by the hour during the day, and free parking overnight and at lunchtime 1pm to 3pm. Free parking in the old hospital parking area  five minutes walk away, or outside the town walls, also five minutes away. Click here for parking maps

Walking: Exquisite walks through nearby forests or numerous surrounding country lanes.

Shopping: The nearest large town for shopping is Foligno. Also within good driving distance are Spoleto, Asissi & Perugia

Culinary: There are four excellent restaurants in the town, including L'Alchimista one of Umbria's best. Montefalco won the award for Italy's best red wine in 1998,

Art: Montefalco museum has a beautiful fresco cycle by Benozzo Gozzoli. Nearby musems contain a range of late medieval and early renaissance frescoes including works by Perugino, Filippo Lippi in Spoleto, Signorelli in Orvieto and Pinturicchio in Spello.
