DIRECTIONS TO MONTEFALCO

From Rome
From the Fiumicino highway take the exit towards Florence and drive along the ring road until you reach the next sign saying A1- Florence. Exit there.

It should be a 30-minute drive from the airport, provided the traffic is smooth. Once you are on the A1 exit Orte and continue on the same road until you pass Terni and Spoleto. After Spoleto, exit the highway at Trevi and follow the signs to Montefalco. Casa Cardinale is in Via Porta Camiano, 3 just off the main Piazza (near Enoteca Alchimista).

From Florence.
Take the Autostrada A1 southbound towards Roma and exit at Valdichiana / Bettolle
Take the Superstrada towards Perugia / Assisi / Foligno, exit at Foligno, then follow signs for Montefalco. Casa Cardinale is in Via Porta Camiano, 3 just off Piazza del Comune at the top of the town. (near Enoteca Alchimista).

Activities (on site or nearby): Hiking; exquisite walks through nearby forests or numerous surrounding country lanes, Shopping; closest large shopping town is Foligno but also nearby to Spoleto Assisi and Perugia shopping experiences, Restaurants; four excellent restaurants in the town Montefalco won the award for Italy's best red wine in 1998, Museums containing a range of late medieval and early renaissance frescoes,  Sightseeing: close to major Umbrian towns of historic and artistic interest.

Parking: parking in the Piazza is paying and only allowed for maximum one hour. A large, free parking lot is situated just outside the town walls, a few minutes walk from the apartment. Click here for maps.
